Additional Guest Speaker: John Claughton, Co-Founder of WoLLoW (World of Languages and Languages of the World) 

Before his richly-deserved retirement, John Claughton taught Classics at Eton for 17 years, was Head of Solihull School for four years and Chief Master of King Edward’s School, Birmingham, his old school, for ten years.  At King Edward’s School, John was responsible for the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma. In 2016 he won Tatler Independent School Head of the Year and the TES Independent School Lifetime Achievement Award.  He has also published translations of Herodotus and Aristophanes for Cambridge University Press.

 

 

Workshop 2: 7th February 2024 at Moreton Hall School, Shropshire

Additional Guest Speaker: Ian Morris, Head of EAL at Moreton Hall School 

Ian has been a teacher, trainer and examiner of English for the past 15 years in South Korea, Spain, Romania, Poland and the UK. He is currently Head of EAL at Moreton Hall School in Shropshire where he is responsible for quality EAL teaching across the school, from the Prep to the Sixth Form, as well as supporting departments on EAL academic matters. He has a BSc in Geography and holds the Cambridge Delta qualification. His main interests lie in curriculum design, assessment, cultural integration and data analysis. When not teaching or training, he can be found roaming the Welsh hills on his mountain bike.

Additional Guest Speaker: Molly Tuttle, Head of Academic Compliance at Password English Language Testing 

Molly holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and TESL certification, and has more than 18 years’ experience in English language education in tertiary settings around the globe, including Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Turkey.  As well as specialising in assessment practices, Molly has delivered training programmes for teachers involved in The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s English Across the Curriculum (EAC) Collaboration and designed educational technology workshops aimed at empowering teachers with the latest tools to enhance their pedagogical skills.
