This session led by Password’s Head of School Partnerships, Dr Helen Wood, will equip attendees with essential knowledge and practical strategies to effectively assess and track English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners. Knowing how to assess, track and tailor support for EAL learners is essential for the demonstration of progress and, crucially, will also make a lasting positive impact on each students’ educational journey.
NALDIC (National Association for Language Development in the Curriculum) is the UK’s national subject association for EAL. Password are proud to be headline sponsoring this flagship event in their events calendar. Entitled, “Creating linguistically inclusive classrooms: through activism, research and practice” the conference promises to be a great source of practical advice and inspiration based on the latest research. Our Head of School Partnerships, Dr Helen Wood and Academic Manager, Kirsty Branch, both EAL classroom practitioners, are excited to be joining NALDIC members for this event.
The British Boarding Schools’ Workshop is a focal event in the calendar year for all those involved in working with educational agents, guardians, and international pupils and their parents. We’re excited to be participating again and look forward to seeing many of our school partners and meeting new colleagues across the independent boarding school sector, too. Password will have a stand in the atrium at the venue, and our Head of School Partnerships, Dr Helen Wood, will be on hand for meetings.
Our Head of HE Partnerships, Shelley Vink will be at the BALEAP PIM, Transitions and Transformations: The Key Roles of the EAP Practitioner on March 7th, 2025. This event will focus on the evolving responsibilities of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) practitioners, exploring the vital roles we play in supporting students through academic transitions. With insightful presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, this conference is a must for anyone involved in EAP teaching and research.
This year, UKENIC24 will feature two days of plenaries, panels, and presentations with the main theme of Insights for Internationalisation. If you are attending, don’t forget to say hello to our Head of HE Partnerships, Shelley Vink and Head of Global Recognition & Communications, Simi Kohli. Password are also delighted to be presenting an award at the evening Gala Dinner for the Best UK admissions team in Digital and Technological Innovation.
