We Are Password
English Language Testing Ltd. design, develop and distribute Password tests which are used to recruit, support and retain students and staff whilst upholding academic standards. The tests have proven to have extremely high levels of accuracy since their launch in 2008 and are now used in over 120 countries around the world. We partner with educational institutions, government bodies and employers, offering all our partners world class service and support.
Our values are honesty and simplicity in everything we do. We believe that consultation and communication should be at the heart of each and every new development and enhancement. All Password products and services are designed to deliver clear value to our partners.
Our Founder and CEO, Caroline Browne, has extensive experience of working at senior management level in the language teaching and university sectors.
The first Password test, Password Knowledge, was designed following a long consultation with the UK university sector to enable accurate and reliable testing for admission to pre-university programmes. Prior to Password Knowledge, there was no appropriate English language test for the growing number of students joining pre-university programmes delivered in English. Since then, consultation with our partners, potential partners and other stakeholders has been critical to the development of each and every new Password test.
